Tom O'Brien, Director
From an early age it was obvious that Tom had an almost obsessive preoccupation with hair. He stood out from the crowd with striking blonde curls, but he hated them...
At the age of 16 his Saturday job became his full-time career and he was quickly recognised for his growing talent. The same year he was awarded 'runner up' for the Wella 'Next Generation' award. The following year he came third nationally for the 'L'Orèal Colour Trophy'.
Tom has worked for the leading salons in the area and at only 17, he was invited to become a session stylist for Toni & Guy and later taught in their academy. A year or so later he moved and began working for another internationally recognised salon where he was invited to join their creative team down in London.
Creative hairdressing is his passion and his proudest achievement was winning second place in the 'British Avant Garde Hairdresser of the Year 2004'.
Tom has created some very strong work and has recently featured on the front page of the industry magazine Estetica with his stunning 2017 British Hairdresser of the year entry photographs!
Tom has extensive experience both in a salon and as a stylist on fashion shoots and catwalk shows. He has maintained a strong and loyal client base, some of whom have been with him since the very beginning. Having reached the position of Art Director or Cardinal Stylist, it was time for the next step In his career...
